SUNDRE - The damage sustained by a eastbound vehicle that was crossing the Red Deer River Bridge in Sundre on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 26 looked much worse than it actually was.

“There were no injuries. EMS came just to make sure, and then they cleared right away. Nobody was transported,” said Alex Clews, the Sundre Fire Department’s deputy chief.

The crash was the result of a fender bender, with five members of the department responding to the scene after the call came in at 8:50 a.m. RCMP also responded.

“We just cleaned up the fluids, and the tow truck took it away,” said Clews, adding there were no injuries.
