Items such as bottled water, diapers, toiletries, baby food and formula, children's toys, clothing, bedding, shoes, cash and coupons were collected at the Sundre Forest Products parking lot, filling more than three quarters of a semi trailer. As well, more than $2,000 in cash was collected. The donated items will be distributed to Slave Lake residents forced to flee their community when wildfires destroyed a large part of the town. The Red Cross continues to accept donations of cash for the Slave Lake relief effort.
