No good can come to Canada from participating in foreign civil wars. Regardless of which side wins, outsiders will be justly hated when the war is over.

Recently in an exchange in the House of Commons, opposition MPs were asking that the Conservatives respect the CWB farmer plebiscite vote. This vote resulted in the majority of farmers voting to retain the single desk for wheat and barley.

I would like to express my appreciation to all Albertans who cast a ballot in the Progressive Conservative leadership election on Sept. 17. While voter turnout was lower than some expected, the direction of voters was definitive.

The recent shocking abduction of a three-year-old from his Sparwood, B.C. home and the arrest of his alleged kidnapper in Alberta has caused outrage and disbelieve across Canada.
