Letter: We all must comply with the recommendations

We need to all do our best to protect ourselves and most importantly our fellow citizens
opinion

Alberta is facing a severe COVID-19 pandemic crisis. Intensive care unit beds are overflowing.

This disease has killed many Albertans and left many still suffering. This is causing untold suffering, stress and fear.

This disease is unprecedented.

The government has advised its citizens to take various actions on the basis of recommendations by experts familiar with the disease and how to curtail viral pandemics.

Many opinions and actions are occurring.

Everyone's opinion and thoughts are valid and need to be respected.

Everyone needs to respond to the government's recommendations.

We all need to wear masks that are of the highest quality and are properly fitting. Everyone should familiarize themselves with how to wear them and how to handle them.

We all need to be able to express our thoughts and theories about how to respond to the pandemic. We need to be able to converse with each other. We need to assess who has the knowledge on this virus and whose theories are correct and whose actions are correct. When this pandemic is over, we will be able to get closer to the truth.

Now, however, is not the time to rally against the expert's recommendations. We need to all do our best to protect ourselves and most importantly our fellow citizens.

We all must comply with the recommendations.

Listen to each other so that we can move ahead.

Thank you for reading and may God keep us safe.
