On behalf of the Olds United church official board and the trustees, we feel the need to dispel some rumours regarding our church.
The word on the street is that we have sold out and dissolved. It is not true. It is true, however, that we are considering significant changes, going forward.
These adjustments will be monumental and require considerable discussion and planning.
All of this takes a lot of time and energy to make the right choices for our congregation and our community.
Our hope and intention, along with consultation of our members and the support from Chinook Winds Region, is that we will have plans in place some time in the near future.
This has been a lengthy and serious process, but we are dedicated to the task.
Our prayers are that we are able to find a suitable solution that will serve the needs of all our congregation and community, going forward.
We are also open to any new thoughts or ideas.
