Letter: Thanking health-care workers goes a long way

To those receiving packages, consider this a community hug of appreciation
opinion

The Front- Line Worker Appreciation program launched earlier this month in Olds was extended to the community of Sundre.

The community of Olds including the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club and Lions Club along with many others created 970 handwritten individual cards of appreciation for our front-line workers.

Packages containing cards, treats, and a letter were distributed to front-line health-care team members in Olds and recently similar recipients in Sundre felt appreciated too.

This simple act of appreciation demonstrates the desire of so many individuals who want to say, thank you, to so many unsung heroes who are working day and night to provide health services in our communities during this global pandemic.

To those who wrote cards, and stuffed bags, thank you. To those receiving packages, consider this a community hug of appreciation, thank you. We appreciate you very much.

Rotary Club of Olds
