If Premier Danielle Smith doesn’t stop this nonsense (Alberta pension fund), she shouldn’t be surprised if a whole lot of people vote against the UCP in the next provincial election, and she shouldn’t be too surprised if some Albertans take her to the governor general of Canada and her associate in Alberta and to the Supreme Court of Canada.
We have a constitutional parliamentary system of government, not a dictatorship.
So far, it seems, that she is ignoring the wishes of most Albertans on this matter. Maybe UCP MLAs should have a chat with her about her autocratic behaviour (she is not a monarch).
There are many other issues that she should deal with such as the housing crisis, the lack of facilities for victims of domestic violence, food inflation, shrink inflation of food packaging, food banks in distress, high credit card rates, environmental issues, the need for more doctors and nurses, more financial assistance to the Public Health Service, lack of affordable senior housing, etc
