Letter: Are they bullying us into submission?

Is what we’re being told to do by the ‘powers that be’ what is best for us? Or are they bullying us into submission?

Re: Taking a stand against workplace bullying

I agree wholeheartedly that bullying anywhere, by anyone, should not be tolerated. Not anywhere. Not by anyone.

But isn’t that what’s happening right now? Bullying on a worldwide scale?

Here in Alberta we have instances of bullying when restaurant owners are arrested by police and jailed for serving customers instead of shutting down their sole livelihood. When pastors are arrested, and a jailed for keeping their churches open. When employees of hospitals, schools, swimming pools, and on and on, are forced to comply with the government’s and health-care system’s draconian dictates. Is this not bullying by a group of a few to control the many?

Bullies come in many shapes and sizes, lording it over any and all who cannot, or will not, stand up and say, ‘Enough’. If we do not stand up now, and get rid of the bullies controlling our futures, the futures of our children, and their children, and all those to follow, we have only ourselves to blame if we don’t like the outcome.

Do your research. Read what well-known, respected individuals have written. Listen to what they say. Think about what you’ve seen and heard, and then make your decision. Is what we’re being told to do by the ‘powers that be’ what is best for us? Or are they bullying us into submission?
