Letter: An apology from MLA Nathan Cooper is a bit too late

You need to be fired from your job that our government trusted you to do
opinion

I want to share with some of the readers my thoughts and feelings toward Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills UCP MLA Nathan Cooper's view on the government trying to get a handle on this crazy virus.

I get it that there are many who are not in favour of this government trying to get a handle on managing this virus but it is not easy either for this government to try to help us.

It is damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Jason Kenney is trying and needs the backing of all his people.

I have heard both sides of this argument from family and friends but we have to try something.

Nathan, as Alberta legislature Speaker, I was very disappointed in you sharing your opinion to Albertans. You are a member of our government of Alberta and the folks of Mountain View voted you in to be our voice and you did not listen to everyone about this matter.

It is not your job to inform us your “opinion." Shame on you. I have always been a P.C. but you have made it so that in the next election I will stay home as I would not vote for you as you do not have my voice.

An apology is a bit too late and you need to be fired from your job that our government trusted you to do.

Like all politicians, they feel they can voice their opinion and then just apologize and all is fine. Not for me.

Ellen Brand,

Olds
