Olds RCMP are leading a positive ticketing campaign this summer in hopes of encouraging young cyclists to wear their helmets.

At its June 27 meeting, council approved a $25,000 contribution in each of the next three fiscal years toward the upgrades of the Olds Regional Exhibition's (ORE) commercial kitchen. The town's total contribution from 2017-19 will be $75,000.

The Community Learning Campus has announced Jackie Taylor as its new director. Taylor grew up in Olds, and graduated from Olds Junior-Senior High School before working for both Chinook's Edge and Wolf Creek school divisions.
