Local philanthropist Andrea Hawiuk is about to be the subject of CTV Calgary's weekly news feature, Inspired. Inspired, which airs Wednesday nights at about 5:55 p.m., tells the stories of unsung heroes in their communities.

Olds Institute (OI) officials have created a new system they believe will make it easier and more fair to accept and process requests for funding or other assistance. It's called an Initiative Support Request or ISR.

Officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a detached garage and van parked nearby, as well as some surrounding structures on Hawthorn Way in Olds Sunday night. Firefighters got the call at 7:11 p.m. Sunday.
