Federal approval for a cultivation licence to grow marijuana means an Airdrie-based company now has funding to break ground on a $110-million facility on a lot in the southeast industrial area of Olds.

Emergency crews responded to a sudden death the night of June 15 in the vicinity of the Sportsplex. The incident was called in at about 11:35 p.m. Olds RCMP Cpl. Michael Black says in this case, ìsudden deathî refers to ìa death that's not expected.
