Update: Missing Calgary man could be in Olds using different name

OLDS – A Calgary man reported missing by family who may have been in Olds has been found, according to the Calgary Police Service.

"Douglas Bigeagle, who was reported missing on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, has been located. Thank you to the public and the media for your valuable assistance in our search for him over the past couple of days," city police reported in an update issued today (Jan. 9).

On Jan. 7, city police issued a plea for public assistance in locating Bigeagle. The 29 year old was reportedly last seen in the southeast Calgary community of Mahogany on Thursday, Jan. 6, sometime between 7:45 and 8:15 p.m.

“On Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, Bigeagle's family subsequently reported him missing. We have been searching but have been unable to locate Bigeagle and are concerned for his well-being,” police said in a Jan. 7 press release.

Shortly after, police said they received information that the Calgary man "may have been in Olds using the name Jordan Bull."

Calgary Police Service did not disclose in its update where Bigeagle was found. 

He is five-feet, 10-inches tall, approximately 200 pounds, with a medium build and has brown eyes. He has long brown hair on top with an undercut held by a purple elastic and a scraggly beard.

Bigeagle has a bald spot on his head and scars on his left leg. He also has a nose stud on his right side and a feather earring on his left ear. He was wearing a burgundy/grey zip-up hoodie, black sweatpants and beige hiking boots when he went missing.

Anyone who knew of his whereabouts was asked to call the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234. Tips were also accepted anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
