OLDS — Residents of Olds can examine the town’s latest budget in immense, colourful detail now that the town has released its first budget booklet.

The 18-page document is now available for viewing on the town website (www.olds.ca).

The booklet includes highlights from the town’s 2020 operating and capital budgets, complete with colourful pie graphs outlining the town’s and residents’ spending priorities, as well as a breakdown on where tax dollars are spent.

It also includes a map outlining the town’s snow clearing priorities.

Town officials say the booklet is “part of the town’s corporate strategic goal to improve communication with citizens and stakeholders.”

“During the fall budget deliberations, council took into consideration comments and feedback provided by residents from various engagements held in 2019,” Mayor Mike Muzychka wrote.
