Olds residents face drug charges following Hwy. 2 traffic stop

OLDS – Two Olds residents are facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Highway 2 north of Airdrie.

Shortly after midnight on Feb. 14, members of the RCMP’s Airdrie Crime Reduction Unit pulled over a vehicle with two occupants in Rocky View County, states an RCMP press release issued Tuesday, March 3.

When officers searched the vehicle they found 81 grams of cocaine, 34 grams of methamphetamine, seven grams of fentanyl, 55 tabs of LSD, and more than 200 mixed prescription pills, according to police.

Lee Scott Dougan, 48, faces four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

He has been released from custody and ordered to appear in Airdrie provincial court on March 19.

Kayla Jade Dougan, 21, faces four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order condition. She is scheduled to be in court in Airdrie on Wednesday.

It is not known what relation the accused may have to each other, if any.
