Olds man charged in 2018 Didsbury armed kidnapping sought by police

Elk Point, Maskwacis and Evansburg men also sought

OLDS - An Olds man charged in an armed kidnapping about two years ago in Didsbury is being sought by RCMP.

Justin Ty Evans Anglet is one of four men featured in Alberta RCMP’s most recent social media #WantedWednesday campaign.

Anglet, Lindsey Bruno, Samuel Jay Krider and Zane Curtis Bronson are wanted by RCMP for various crimes.

“They have been selected based on an analysis of their criminal history,” according to Alberta RCMP’s post.

Anglet was charged in January 2018 with kidnapping with a firearm, extortion with a firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, and eight counts of failing to comply with conditions.

He was one of five people arrested and charged after a male was taken at gunpoint in Didsbury and allegedly threatened to pay a sum of money or he would face bodily harm.

Didsbury RCMP said they were called about the incident shortly after 6 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2018.

Didsbury RCMP, with the help of Olds RCMP, said they located the victim at a rural location west of Olds and arrested three suspects including Anglet, who was 19 at the time. All three men were Olds residents.

A search warrant was executed on a travel trailer and police said they seized five firearms including a sawed off shotgun.

A warrant was issued for a fourth suspect, another Olds resident, who was arrested about two weeks later in the town.

A fifth suspect from Didsbury turned herself in to police on an outstanding warrant about three weeks after the incident.

It was not immediately known if Anglet is being sought now in relation to the 2018 incident or subsequent charges or investigations.
