OLDS - The 2022 Olds & District Kiwanis Music Festival wrapped up on Friday, March 25 at the TransCanada Theatre.

Many participants will have a chance to perform again during the Grand Concert & Awards night on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. and the benefit concert on Tuesday, April 5. Both will be held at the TransCanada Theatre.

Festival coordinator Wendy Durieux says participants and those in the audience were just happy to be able to share their love of music in person again now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.

"We had a wonderful festival. Lots of smiling faces and lots of sharing of musical ideas," she said. The participants had certainly grown in stature and in their musical abilities. We are so impressed with their commitment and their performances."
