Caroline Weber formerly of Fox Creek, Didsbury and Carstairs, AB, passed away at the age of 73 years.Caroline is remembered by her daughters, Lorinda Brinton (Kenny De Commer) and Ronica (Todd) DeCiccio; grandsons, Owen (age 15 years) and Carter (age 14 years) DeCiccio; brother, Bob (Lil) Weber; and many more close relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, John and Emma Weber; and sister, Annie (Clarence) Wilde.Caroline grew up on a farm north of Southey, SK. She taught in Saskatchewan before moving to La Crete where she met and married Chuck Brinton. After traveling the world, the two settled in Carstairs, AB, where they made their home. Throughout 20 years of teaching, Caroline touched the lives of many students and fellow educators.In the late 90’s she began a new chapter of change following an empty nest, illness, and divorce. Caroline moved to Didsbury, venturing into new hobbies, including yoga and drumming as well as flower and shrub gardening; finding new friends and support along the way.Always ready for a change and embracing her upcoming role as a Gramma, in 2005 Caroline picked up her life and moved to Fox Creek. She played an integral role in the daily lives of Ronica’s family, especially with her grandsons. Caroline embraced Fox Creek as her new home, where she again made new friends and helped many students by leading the school’s literacy programs. A recent move to St. Albert was followed by a trip to Belgium, where she caught a glimpse of the new life being experienced by Lorinda and her partner.

Caroline was a proud 5-time breast cancer survivor. She worked to overcome various ailments, including heart difficulties and a bad fall. She faced lifelong health battles that resulted in her early retirement from the teaching profession and ultimately her passing.

Caroline’s hobbies included playing softball, curling, walking, sewing, gardening, playing cards, listening to music, traveling, attending live theatre and visiting with friends.

Her philosophy for life was to live in the present and take each day as it comes. She often expressed gratitude for those who supported her in various times of her life.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 6, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Fox Creek Community Hall, 200 - 1st Street, Fox Creek, AB.
