1943 – 2023
We are sad to say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend just shy of his 80th birthday. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley of 60 years, and his children Darin (Sharmon), Shelly (John), 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Hobbies and talents are too many to mention but did include curling, horseback riding, baseball, and cowboy poetry. Until his last day, he enjoyed farming, his family, friends and looking after his animals. His sidekick Luke went with him everywhere.
Dennis was born in Carmangay, married in Champion in 1963 and moved to a farm west of Olds in April of 1964, where he remained until his passing.
He was an active member of the Hainstock Community surrounded by family and friends.
A private gathering will be held at a later date.
