Jill 1

January 6, 1983 - June 9, 2022

Jillyan Davidson Nance, of Arlington, Texas left her earthly home on Thursday, June 9th, 2022.

Jill is survived by her loving husband, Jared Nance. She was an incredibly wonderful and proud mother to her five children: Gabriel, Galena, Liam, Luca and Finn Nance. Jill is also survived by her parents, Betty and Ken Davidson, her two sisters, Crystal Tooker and Trisha Patharam, seven nieces and nephews, and countless other family members and friends.

Jill grew up in Bowden, Alberta, Canada, where she developed a love of nature and the outdoors (especially the snow in the winter). She also had a special relationship with her Grandpa Leonard, and enjoyed sewing and going to the Sinclair farm as a little girl. Jill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in her high school years, playing ice hockey. Jill had an extremely strong faith in God, going on several missions over the course of her teens and twenties (and serving others constantly ever since). She attended Rocky Mountain College (go Rams) and worked for American Airlines for 15 years. Despite moving to Texas nearly 20 years ago, Jill never fully adjusted to always-on air conditioning and, as a result, was known to wear a hooded sweatshirt, even during the dog days of summer in Texas.

Jill fought various health battles over the past two years, and while her body ultimately failed her, she somehow always found a way to give of herself to her friends and, especially, her family. Jill’s heart was pure gold, and while she had other duties and hobbies, Jill’s primary passion always started and ended with her family. Jared and Jill’s journey to parenthood was paved with several miracles, but started with a deep love for each other and the family they would have one day. Over the course of their 15 year marriage, Jared and Jill fostered 13 (yes, you read that correctly – thirteen) children, though they “only” had five beautiful kids that would get to call Jill “mom” for good until the day she was called home. If you knew Jill, you knew how much she loved her children, and how much that love defined who she was.

Jill was a constantly loving mom to her kids, perfect partner (as perfect as any of us can strive to be) to Jared, and friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her many loved ones. While she was taken from us far too early, she spread more love on this earth in her 39 years than most of us will in twice that time.

In lieu of flowers, Jared would like to request a donation to an organization that has played an important role in he and Jill’s life. You can learn more about and donate to Encourage One Another at: e1a.org.
