Posted

Mrs. Daryl Arlene Kinsella of Innisfail passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 82 years. Daryl was born in Edmonton to parents Ray and Florence ‘Flo’ Leonard (Naldrett). Daryl completed High School and worked at the Edmonton Public Library for a year before attending the Royal Alexandra Hospital School of Nursing for three years. She graduated with her Registered Nursing Designation in 1961 and recently attended the 60th Anniversary of her Nursing School Graduating Class in Edmonton.

Daryl and Earl were married in 1962 and moved from Edmonton to Innisfail in 1964.   Daryl nursed at the Innisfail Hospital until 2000. Daryl was then appointed by the Alberta Minister of Children’s Services to be a member of the Child Welfare Services Appeal Panel for a three-year term.

Daryl was known for her quick wit, cheerful nature, compassion, caring and advocating for others, and her deep commitment to immediate and extended family and friends. Daryl’s laughter was easily recognized and appreciated by all.  She always had just one more thing to do.

Daryl will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Earl, her daughters, Laura Froggatt (Barry Cole), Colleen (Brian) Beatty, and her son, Raymond; her grandchildren Ben, Chelsey, Karley and Daniel.  Daryl was predeceased by her son-in-law, Ken Froggatt. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Wilma Walz and Phyllis Kinsella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
