On Oct. 10, 2021, Garry Kellsey was welcomed into the arms of His God.  Garry passed away from a heart attack at the age of 81.

He was a long-time resident of Mountainview County and was best known for his remarkable career in the cattle industry and finishing up in the Real Estate business.

Garry was a godly and faithful part of the Church of God and he lived what he believed.  One of his greatest joys was knowing his family were all Christians.  Another passion was mission work.  He frequently travelled with Betty to East Africa to work.  Teaching agricultural techniques, building churches, preaching, teaching, and providing support were many ways he gave generously.  He was a blessing to East Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and Oceania.

Garry would often be found at the local 4H shows, baseball and basketball games of grandchildren, referring basketball, and auction markets throughout the province.  He participated in many sports and could shoot a mean game of crokinole.

Garry will be missed by his dear wife, Betty; daughters, Janet (John) Saison, and Darlene (Charlie) Bowen;  sons, Lavern (Deanna) and Ray (Diane); brother, Wayne(Bonnie), sister-in-law Alvina; and grandchildren, Mitchell (Jolene), Travis (Kari), Kelsie(Lance), Luke (Sophia), Andy (Sandy), Jackie, Cassandra, Christa, Jason (Lidia), Randy, Ryan (Leah);  and 9 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to King’s Kattle c/o Rocky Mountain College, Calgary. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements. 403-507-8610  Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com.
