Mr. Wilfred John Allen ‘Wilf’ Kellar passed away unexpectedly at Innisfail, Alberta on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the age of 72 years.

Wilf was born on November 9, 1947 at Calgary, Alberta and was adopted by loving parents, John and Eileen Kellar, soon after. He grew up on the farm near Wimbourne, and enjoyed the outdoors, farm life, and riding horses. Wilf married Cheryl Hadley in 1973, and they had three beautiful sons, Kyron, Valane, and Layvon. Wilf worked in the Oilfield and other physical jobs, throughout his adult life; living in west Central Alberta for the most part. In recent years, he chose to reside in Innisfail; where he attended High School, and continued to have many close friendships. Wilf was a man who lived his life on his own terms; he was a skilled and hard worker, had a gentle spirit and a wonderful sense of humor.

Wilf will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Eileen Kellar of Red Deer, his two sons, Valane Hadley of Calgary and Layvon (Stephanie) Hadley of Stettler and his four grandchildren, Stephen, Beau, Joey and Ella. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Helen Barrett and Doris ‘Darci’ Kellar, his brother, Ron Kellar and their families; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

Wilf was predeceased by a son, Kyron Hadley and his father, John Kellar. If desired Memorial Donations in Wilf’s honor may be made directly to the Innisfail Christmas Bureau, 4303 - 50 Street, Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1B6 or to the Mustard Seed, 6002 – 54 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 4M8.
