1968 - 2020

It is with very sad and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Charmaine Tara Frick - daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt at the age of 51 years.

Charmaine was born to Albert and Alma Frick in Calgary, AB on December 15, 1968 in the car on the way to the hospital. It was a grand entrance! She was the youngest of four girls. She lived her first years in Calgary until the family moved to the farm northwest of Sundre in 1975. After graduating high school, she worked in Sundre and then moved to Olds in the early 1990s, where she lived until her passing on November 5, 2020. Charmaine was a source of light to everyone she met. Most people would never have known she struggled with health issues which caused her continuous pain for most of her adult life. She greeted everyone with a smile and a laugh and a teasing remark. Staff at Tim Horton’s knew her well as coffee was a passion of hers. Her memory was astounding, telling stories about past events that most of us had long forgotten. She loved to go on adventures, travelling to Europe, Florida, Nova Scotia and Alaska as well as local excursions with her family and friends. She always maintained close communication with her family in Sundre, calling often, and she was always up for a visit.

Charmaine will be lovingly remembered by her mom Alma; siblings Connie (Mark), Michele (Les), and Christine; her nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces (all of Sundre) and many extended family members.

She was predeceased by her dad Albert in 2012. She will also be missed by her long-time roommate Melodie, her worker Deb and her Padnoma family. Charmaine, we love you and will miss you always. Give Dad a hug for us. Until we meet again...

A private family service was held.  In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Arthritis Society.  Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Sundre entrusted with arrangements. 403-638-4393.  Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com
