Kimberly Ann Flanigan of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on December 11, 2022 at the age of 61 years.

Kim was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, spent time in Norman Wells, N.W.T. and settled in Innisfail twenty-five years ago.  Kim graduated from Marvel Hair College in 1979 and was employed as a hairdresser for the last forty-three years.  Kimberly was a very well-known and respected member of the community.  She always looked forward to seeing her regular customers and getting their sets and perms done for them.

Kimberly volunteered with the Innisfail Dolphins Swim Club for her daughter Teighan, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104, was part of a local bridge group and spent a lot of time camping with friends.  During the holiday season, she would bake up a storm and share with her family and friends, she loved art, stained glass, swimming and her ultimate favorite was spending time on the west coast with her daughters and grandbabies. Kimberly will be missed by more than those in her local community, but by friends and family around the world that she held close.

Kimberly will be lovingly remembered by her spouse, Darrell Ferguson, her daughter Teighan Flanigan (Rahim) and Saskia (Owen) Taylor her grandchildren Piper and Huxley Taylor, as well as her brothers: Bryan (Theresa) Flanigan and Gregory (Maria) Flanigan, and her sister, Lynne (Andy)  Stephany.

She was predeceased by her mother, Cynthia Flanigan nee Haffner, her brother Kelvin Flanigan, her Nana, Hilda Jarosh and Teighan’s father, Brent Sims, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Kim’s family would like to recognize the Innisfail Health Care Centre, Dr. Christiansen and all the lovely nurses who took such good care of her in her final days.  If desired, Memorial Donations may be made directly to Alberta Cancer Foundation 10123 99 St NW #710, Edmonton, Alberta T5J 3H1 www.albertacancer.ca Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed at www.heartlandfuneralservices.com.
