February 02, 1928 - April 06, 2021

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Isobel Dahl announces her peaceful passing at Bethany Sylvan Lake on April 06, 2021 with her family by her side.

Isobel was pre-deceased by her parents Bob & Ede Alcorn, her two sisters Jessie Alcorn and Joan Angel, her brother Teak Alcorn, and her nephew Bruce Alcorn.

Isobel leaves to mourn her daughter Dagny (Cliff) Brown, her son Ken (Linda) Dahl, her brother Bill (Phyllis) Alcorn, her sister in-law Marg Alcorn, her 3 grandchildren Renee (Nik) Kuznecov, Gillian (Chad) Acaster, and Amelia Dahl along with 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.  Lifelong friendships with Lilas Lysne and Joy Deedman (among many more) were of great importance to Isobel along with her niece Bev Stevenson who always brought flowers to brighten her day.

Isobel graduated with a Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Alberta in 1951 and went on to teach in Alliance, Edmonton, Calgary, London England, Carstairs, and Heisler.  She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while in university, which she looked back at fondly.
She was a well respected music teacher who taught piano, theory and voice to many students and was very involved in the United Church Choir, The Village Voices, IODE, and STAR.

Her family & friends remember Isobel as an avid bridge player, a great gardener and a wonderful cook.
Friends & family will be invited to a celebration of Isobel’s life sometime in the coming months.
