Ronald “Ron” Roy Creaser of Carstairs, Alberta, passed away peacefully at home on September 27th at the age of 83 with his loving wife Celina by his side.

Ron was born on the farm in Minnedosa, Manitoba, on September 10th, 1938, to parents Edgar and Ida Creaser. He grew up as the middle child in a large family of 12 brothers and sisters. Ron worked as a plumber, pipefitter, and gasfitter, and was a proud member of the Local 488 union for over 50 years.

Ron’s love of RVing, golfing, fishing, watching sports (Go Oilers and Blue Jays!), and spending time at the Southwest shore of Slave Lake near Joussard brought him many years of enjoyment, especially when sharing these activities with family and friends. Rockin’ Ronny was such a bright light to everyone that knew him. You could rest assured that any time spent with him would be full of joy, love, and laughter.

Ron will be greatly missed by Celina, his wife of 31 years; their children Debbie, Linda, Diane, Rose-Marie, Dorine, and Normand; sister Dorothy; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Ron was predeceased by his son Rick, grandson David, great-granddaughter Shayanda, and many brothers and sisters.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alberta Cancer Society. Celina and the family would like to thank Dr. Michael Wong and staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital; Dr. Dianne Smith and staff at the Trinity Rose Clinic; the administrative, laboratory, and emergency departments at the Didsbury Hospital; the Pharmasave Pharmacy in Carstairs; and, the palliative home care nurses. We are so grateful that you took such good care of our Ron.
