An ice jam on Little Red Deer River in Mountain View and Red Deer counties is causing localized flooding.

Alberta Environment and Parks issued an ice jam watch on the Little Red last night.

An ice jam was reported at the Red Lodge Provincial Park campground, causing flooding of loop roads and campsites.

Ice-related flooding has been reported at Highway 766 and Twp. Rd. 340 in Mountain View County.

The watch bulletin issued states sudden changes in water levels may occur as ice jams shifts.

As ice jams release, the watch bulletin states new ones may form in other locations downstream.
