The Sundre Skatepark Society has been granted consent from Town of Sundre council to build a concrete addition onto the skate park.

At the Alberta provincial trials held on the weekend of June 14 to 16, the Olds Rapids swim team claimed bronze in the 12-and-under girls 400-metre individual medley and the 14- to 15-year-old 400-metre individual medley.

Keith Newton of Olds got off to a good start at the Alberta Mid-Amateur Championship, coming in with a two-day 149 total, until the third windy and rainy day of the golf tournament where he shot a 78.
