Olds High School's senior girls volleyball team lost its Chinook's Edge Athletic Association South finals match 3-2 to the Didsbury High School (DHS) Dragons on Nov. 5.

Innisfail High School's volleyball season came right down to the wire with the Junior Varsity (JV) girls Cyclones squad playing in a three-team playdown for sixth place on Nov. 5 but falling short in the third game of the match.

A new player has joined the Olds Grizzlys. The team has signed 18-year-old defenceman Jordan Steenbergen. Steenbergen, originally from Sylvan Lake, played 62 games over three seasons with the Kootenay Ice in the WHL and recorded three assists.

The Innisfail Cyclones bantam and peewee football teams both ended their seasons on Oct. 25 with losses to Sylvan Lake and Drumheller respectively.
