Sundre comes up just short of cross-country banner

The Sundre High School cross-country team competed in provincials this past Saturday, in the beautiful Cyprus Hills area. Hosted by Eagle Butte High School, the planning committee organized a challenging course.

The Sundre High School cross-country team competed in provincials this past Saturday, in the beautiful Cyprus Hills area. Hosted by Eagle Butte High School, the planning committee organized a challenging course. Troy Groenewegen competed in the Intermediate boys division and captured a silver medal for his efforts. The following athletes contributed to our points total toward the 2A School Provincial banner but we came up 35pts shy and lost to Strathcona Tweedsmuir: David Newton- Intermediate Boy; Joris van den Hadlekamp- Intermediate Boy; James Dyer 19th -Jr Boys; Jelmer van den Hadlekamp 17th- Jr Boys; Flurin Obrist Jr. Boys; Isis Landsbergen 26th -Jr Girls; Birch Gano -Intermediate Girls; Desi Jackson - Jr Girls; Meg Irving -Sr Girls; Terri Beach -Sr. Girls, and TJ Trottier -Sr. Girls.
