OLDS — The Olds College Women's Volleyball team has announced its first two signings for the upcoming season.
One is new to the team and one is returning.
Sydney Joyce is joining the Broncos after playing for the Sask Stealth U18 team during the 2020-21 season.
She stands 5'10" and served as team captain ever since she was with the U16 program.
Originally from Dodsland, Sask., Joyce, attended North West Central School in Plenty, Sask. where she was named the senior girls volleyball MVP for the 2019-20 season.
Samantha Laboucan of Atikameg, Alta, is returning to the Broncos for the 2021-22 season after having played for Olds College from 2018 to 2020.
During the 2019-20 season, Laboucan was named Broncos Player of the Match, having racked up 30 kills, five assists, 11 service aces, 73 digs, and nine total blocks.
