OLDS — More than 30 students from across Mountain View County and Red Deer County finished in the top three in their age groups in the annual basketball free throw competition.

The event, organized by the Knights of Columbus council of Olds, was held March 11 at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Olds.

A total of 66 students from seven schools, along with some home-schooled students, participated in the competition.

After the first round, the finalists went on to the district competition.

From there, the top three finalists’ scores will be sent on to the provincial basketball free throw chairman to tabulate the results for the provincial winners.
