56th horse show deemed a success

DIDSBURY - Horses and riders from all around Alberta came out for the Didsbury Horse Show, which took place on July 13-15 at the ag grounds. The show, which was the 56th annual, was put on by Didsbury Agricultural Society.

DIDSBURY - Horses and riders from all around Alberta came out for the Didsbury Horse Show, which took place on July 13-15 at the ag grounds. The show, which was the 56th annual, was put on by Didsbury Agricultural Society.

Chairperson Shelley Snyder said there were around 50 horses and riders competing in 75 classes.

"It went very well," said  "Everybody had a great time. The feedback we got was that everyone said it was well organized. We had a wide range of ages. We had everyone from five-year-olds right up to seniors. "

The show featured halter, English and Western classes, driving, trail, and featured on Friday night was the jeopardy obstacle course.

"The show was overall a success," she said. "We're hoping next year will be even bigger and better."
