A fire that started in the dishwasher caused some pricey damage to a Penhold home on June 30. Penhold fire chief Jim Pendergast said two homeowners suffered from smoke inhalation after their dishwasher went up in smoke at about 1:30 p.m.

An Innisfail man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in Montana on July 8. A Montana Highway Patrol dispatcher would not confirm the identity of the man, but did confirm the man's from Innisfail. She said the incident happened at 10:15 a.m.

An annual Penhold celebration is moving dates and names this year and is looking for volunteers to help make it all happen.

Break and enter A break and enter on 50 Avenue was reported to Innisfail RCMP on June 29. The residence had been entered via a brick through a window between the evening of June 26 and the afternoon of June 29.
