Update: Innisfail RCMP no longer seeking help locating missing Penhold woman

INNISFAIL — Mounties are no longer asking for the public's help locating a Penhold woman reported missing.

Innisfail RCMP reported this evening that with the assistance of the public they have located Nelah Rothwell.

"Nelah was located safe. The RCMP would like to thank the media and community for their assistance," police stated in a press release issued Oct. 20.

Rothwell, 20, was reportedly last seen on Monday, Oct. 17 at about 8 a.m. leaving her home in Penhold, Innisfail RCMP said in a press release issued that same night.

Police had been unable to find Rothwell and say there were concerns for her well-being, adding she had been known to frequent Innisfail.

Rothwell was described as measuring 1.7-metres (five-feet, seven-inches) tall, weighing 68 kilograms (150 pounds) with brown hair, glasses and brown eyes.  

Anyone who had information regarding Rothwell’s whereabouts was encouraged to contact the Innisfail RCMP detachment at 403-227-3342. Callers who preferred to remain anonymous could call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Alternatively, information could have been anonymously submitted online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.
