Update: Innisfail RCMP find missing teen

Young teen had not been seen since Monday afternoon in Innisfail

INNISFAIL – Hours after sending out a plea for the public's assistance in finding a missing teen, Innisfail RCMP report he has been found.

"Innisfail RCMP advise that Robert Scott has been located safe. RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance," reads a press release issued around 2:40 p.m. today (July 20).

A young Innisfail boy known to frequent the Innisfail Skatepark had been reported missing and local Mounties were seeking the public’s help to find him.

In the early afternoon of July 20, Innisfail RCMP issued a press release stating the 15-year-old was last seen in Innisfail at about 4 p.m. on July 19.

RCMP said Scott was known to frequent the Innisfail skateboard park. Local police said they wanted to locate the teen and speak to him to verify his well-being.

Innisfail RCMP requested the public's assistance for any information in relation to Scott’s whereabouts. Citizens were asked to contact Innisfail RCMP at 403-227-3341 or their local police.
