INNISFAIL – A local couple has been busted on numerous stolen property and drug-related charges following the execution of an RCMP search warrant last week at a mid-town home.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff told the Albertan that on March 25 Innisfail RCMP executed the search warrant at a house on 46th Street.

Savinkoff said six people were arrested during the search warrant process.

He said officers at the scene seized a stolen 2022 Sierra, stolen industrial wire, stolen mail and a small amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Savinkoff said four of the people arrested were subsequently released with no charges being laid.

However, multiple charges were laid against two residents of the home.

 August Baker, 43, of Innisfail, has been charged with:

• three counts of possession of stolen property;

• possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

• possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl); and

• breach of a release order.

August Baker was also arrested on 24 outstanding warrants from the Three Hills and Drumheller RCMP detachments. Savinkoff said most of the charges deal with stolen property and drug-related matters.

He said August Baker has been remanded into custody and his next court appearance is April 8 in Red Deer provincial court.

Regan Baker, 43, of Innisfail, has been charged with:

• three counts of possession of stolen property;

• possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine);

• possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl); and

• breach of a release order.

Regan Baker was released on cash bail and her next court appearance is April 8 in Red Deer provincial court.
