Innisfail RCMP searching for suspects in Super 8 armed robbery (2 photos)

Police say one suspect carrying sawed-off shotgun; another had pistol

INNISFAIL – Local Mounties are hunting for armed robbers who held up the town’s Super 8 hotel.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff said in a media release that at about 4:10 a.m. this morning (May 29) three male suspects entered the motel – two carrying firearms – and demanded money from the manager.

Savinkoff said the trio then left the motel in a vehicle.

He said the vehicle is described as a Chevrolet Dura Max truck, silver in colour and lifted.
 
Savinkoff described the first suspect as a Caucasian male, tall and muscular. He said the suspect was wearing jeans and a grey Under Armour hoody. He said the first suspect was carrying a pistol.

The second suspect was a short Caucasian male, said Savinkoff. He said the second suspect was wearing all black clothes and was carrying a sawed-off shotgun.

Savinkoff said the third suspect was a tall Caucasian male with a “chubby” belly. He was wearing a grey hoody, jeans and a black ball hat, said Savinkoff.
