INNISFAIL – Local Mounties are seeking the public’s help to find a red-haired, tattooed woman who is suspected as being the culprit of an attempted robbery.

Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Michael Heysa, the detachment’s watch supervisor, said in a news release issued today (July 16) that at about 2 p.m. on July 5 local Mounties received a call of an attempted robbery close to downtown in the area of 48th Street and 49th Avenue. He said an unknown female attempted to rob the victim.

Heysa said the female suspect assaulted the victim and was last seen getting into a vehicle that is described as a late model, dark coloured Ford Fusion. The suspect then fled the area, said Heysa.

He said the female suspect is described as being slim-built, Caucasian, in her 40s, and having dyed red hair and several tattoos on her arms.

Heysa said Innisfail RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to this incident or identifying the female suspect and the vehicle involved.
