Innisfail is hosting a Remembrance Day service for 2020, but with changes.

INNISFAIL - The town’s annual outdoor Remembrance Day ceremony at the Main Street cenotaph will go ahead on Nov. 11 but because of the COVID-19 pandemic there will be differences.

The parade begins at 10:45 a.m., followed by the memorial service and wreath laying. Spectators must remain behind the barricades and follow AHS guidelines for social distancing.

There will not be any entertainment in the Royal Canadian Legion’s club room for Remembrance Day this year but it will be open from 1 to 6:00 p.m. with limited seating capacity for members only, with no minors.

The ceremony will be shown live on the Innisfail Legion’s Facebook page as well.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Town of Penhold Remembrance Day ceremony will be closed but it will be recorded and available for viewing on the town's website and Facebook page.
