INNISFAIL – A local man is facing numerous Criminal Code charges for indecently exposing himself to school children.

Innisfail RCMP Cpl. Michael Heysa said a complaint was reported to police on Jan. 13 that a man was indecently exposing himself over multiple days.

He was seen in a residence doorway exposing himself while children passed the residence, said Heysa.

He said an investigation was conducted and sufficient evidence gathered. The suspected culprit was arrested on Jan. 19.

In the meantime, no victimized children were physically harmed.

“The kids are fine,” said Heysa.

Terry Haskell, 68 of Innisfail, is charged with four counts of committing an indecent act, four additional counts of exposing nudity and four more for failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.

Haskell remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Jan. 21.

“If anyone has additional information about this incident or any others, they are asked to contact the Innisfail RCMP,” said Heysa. The Innisfail RCMP can be contacted at 403-227-3342.

He added the RCMP appreciated community members affected by these incidents coming forward to report them to police. Heysa said contact has also been made with the local school board for their awareness.
