The crash occurred between a semi tractor-trailer and a pickup truck at the intersection with Township Road 320 shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday, May 17.

“Preliminary investigation revealed the truck was travelling southbound on Highway 2 when it crossed the median and struck the semi travelling northbound,” said RCMP Const. Chantelle Kelly.

The driver of the pickup truck, who has not been named, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi was not hurt, police said.
