DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts will wrap the 2021-2022 Heritage Junior B Hockey League regular season with a home game against the Sylvan Lake Wranglers on Feb. 5 before starting the playoffs four days later.

The playoffs start Feb. 9 with a home game against the Airdrie Thunder, followed by a Feb. 11 game in Airdrie and, if necessary, at home against on Feb. 12.

The Colts beat Airdrie four times in six games in the regular season.

The Colts were at home on Feb. 4 against the Kainai Junior Braves before Saturday’s game against Sylvan, also in the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

The final regular season games come following a 2-1 Colts win against the Vipers on Jan. 29.

During that game in Red Deer the Colts got goals from Austin Corsiatto (assist Logan Richards) and Steven Bell (assists Paton Rothenbusch and Hayden Sotheran).

Colts netminder Chance Griffith got the win, stopping 48 of 49 shots.

The Colts are currently in fourth place in the north division, 12 points behind first place Cochrane.

Coach Gord Olson said the Colts are playing well going into the playoffs.
