Mountain View Colts remain undefeated with two more wins

DIDSBURY - The Mountain View Colts continued their winning ways over the weekend, defeating Strathmore and Cochrane to improve the team’s 2022-23 regular season record to 4-0.

In the squad’s home opener on Friday, the team defeated the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 4-2.

The Colts got goals from Hayden Sotheran (assists Haiden Parks and Paton Rothenbusch), Aidan Saunders (Carter Layden assist), Haiden Parks (Ryan Bauer assist) and Corson Waiting (Paton Rothenbusch assist).

Colts’ netminder Chance Griffith stopped 36 shots for the win.

On Saturday the Colts travelled to Cochrane to play the Generals, coming away with an 8-2 win.

The Colts got goals from Steven Bell (assists Hayden Sotheran and Ryan Bauer), Nate McNeely, Jay Heistad (Logan Richards assist), Paton Rothenbusch (assists Sotheran and Bauer), Steven Bell (assist Sotheran and Rothenbusch), Jordan Saunders (assist Trey Stovin and Aidan Saunders), Nate McNeely (assist Corbin Rae), and Steven Bell.

Colts netminder Chance Griffith got the win, stopping 37 shots.

The Colts are home on Friday against Three Hills starting at 8 p.m.
