DIDSBURY – The Town of Didsbury has closed the last of its facilities to the public in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, officials said Tuesday.

The town-owned pool and arena were closed over the weekend, and after a town council decision Monday night, the town office is now also closed to the public.

Nicole Aasen, manager of community services, says residents can still conduct business with the town by calling 403-335-2030 or through the municipality’s website at Didsbury.ca.

Officials have also cancelled council meetings until at least April 6 when things will be re-evaluated, she said.

The town is not planning to declare a state of local emergency at this time, she said Tuesday.
