CREMONA - The Cremona Municipal Library saw a total of 5,640 in-person visits last year, according to the 2021 public library survey and 2020 annual report.

The report was presented to village council at its regularly scheduled meeting and received for information.

The library was open for a total of 1,311 hours in 2020, while total staff hours were 1,419.

The annual report included a summary of pandemic impacts, which read, “The library had to cancel all of our children and adult programming. We moved to limited curbside pick-up hours. Many of our patrons don’t have internet access and were unable to use our online resources.”

Regarding collection management, the library acquired 524 print items, 77 non-print items, while 955 print items and 22 non-print items were withdrawn. The library has a total of 5,186 print items and a total of 865 non-print items, including audiobooks and videos.

Regarding circulation, a total of 2,905 adult print, 193 young adult print, 2,726 juvenile print, adult non-print, 10 young adult non-print, and 234 juvenile non-print items were loaned.

There were 589 cardholders at the library in 2020.

Board members in 2020 were Jan Shand, Greg Harris, Bonnie Scribner, Sharon Manning, Lori Reid,  Jane Corkish, Crystal Tetz, Rosemarie McGonigle, Carol Patenaude and Bonnie Akkus.
