Colts drop two of three against Thunder

CARSTAIRS - The Mountain View Colts dropped two of three games against the Airdrie Thunder over the past week, including close losses in Airdrie on Friday and at home in Carstairs on Saturday. 

Playing at the Carstairs Memorial Arena on Saturday, the Colts fell 6-4 to the Thunder, following an overtime loss in Airdrie the night before.

On Saturday the Colts got three goals from Zane Leatherdale, and one from Paton Rothenbusch. Goalies Noah Campbell and Chance Griffith both played during the game.

On Friday night, the Colts fell 3-2 in Airdrie, with Austin Corsiatto getting both goals for the Colts. Noah Campbell was in goal, stopping 38 of 41 shots.

The Colts defeated the Thunder on Wednesday at the Carstairs rink, winning 4-2 during the team’s 2020-2021 home opener.

In that game, the Colts got goals Austin Corsiatto, Sam Kolke, Sam Vanderstoop and Laine Rothenbush. 

The Colts 2020-2021 record now stands at one win and three loses.

The Colts are next in action against the Lightening in Stettler on Nov. 22 and again on Nov. 27, and home against the Lightening on Nov. 28 and on Dec. 4.

The Colts are playing their home games at the Carstairs arena pending the completion of renovations at the Didsbury Memorial Arena.
