The Sundre U-16 boys took on Carstairs at the Bergen Field last week. The Sundre team won 4 - 0 setting up the regular season final against Olds at Olds College last Thursday. In a hard fought game that was tied at one point 4 - 4, Sundre pulled off a 7 - 4 final. David Newton got five goals and Lucas Dyer and Flurin Obrist added singles. The win gave the team an outstanding record of 6 wins, one loss and one tie for a total of 19 points, two better than second place Acme. Finishing first gives Sundre a bye to the final, which will be played in Three Hills on June 18. A win there would send the team to provincials.
