The Town of Sundre’s road crew tore up the surface of pothole scarred Centre Street North on Tuesday, June 27 to flatten out the road and lay gravel as a preliminary and temporary fix until work to rebuild the street begins later in July. Until the work was done, traffic was redirected through the northeast subdivision. Operations manager Jim Hall said the speed limit had previously been lowered to 30 kilometres per hour to reduce potential damage to people’s vehicles, but that many motorists have not been complying.
